In 2004, Rob and Margie Busch fulfilled a longtime dream by opening Busch Family Fish Farm & Pay Lakes. Rob has been an avid fisherman since his teens when his neighbor taught him how to hunt and fish. He turned this passion into a career after receiving his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures from Auburn University (Alabama) in the 1970’s. Rob worked as a fish culture research scientist for the College of the Virgin Islands and later Mississippi State University. He then spent several years as a fish hatchery and pond manager for a large catfish farm in Mississippi. In 1993, Rob and Margie moved to Ohio to be closer to family, and in 2012, they retired from teaching at Greenville City Schools. They are excited to have more time to spend with family and take care of the farm.
